I just need some venting space... February is coming soon and it seems like a never ending amount of work being piled up and with wedding preparations and personal tiredness... it's really coming onto me...
Next mon I will be having a 10 period day... I hardly think I will have much energy to do anything next...
I had some plans for the saturday but I am not sure if it's because I woke up at the wrong side of the bed... I just don't feel right...
I think that the underlying problem is probably on me but I am not sure how to overcome the situation.
I wanted some peace but I couldnt get it on time...

There are just so many things to do...
so many people wanting some time from me...
I am not sure how to manage all of these...
just wanted to take a break from everything and just rest and have some peace...
it seems like my To do list is getting longer and longer...

Just came out from my class fb page, i just felt a sense of insecurity at the words that I typed in.
It's mainly a platform used to engage my students but yet I am at times apprehensive with the words I used

Very soon the long CNY weekend is left with only 1 day of holiday.
Though I have to clear 1 exam paper coupled with the marking scheme and TOS, 5, 6 stacks of markings, 1 work review, 1 LNA and 1 PPCR, I don't feel as grudgingly which was a surprise to me. It seems like I treat this as a time for me to do my work at home... and have fun at the same time.
This January is one of the most hardworking month that I can remember.

Although it is loaded with work yet I still have time for some family moments :)
Till now... I am almost done with my exam paper and settled 2 stacks of marking...
Tomorrow the target is to finalize the exam paper and complete my epms and markings
Wednesday is to settle my LNA 2012 :)

Now I have two families that I will need to spend time with and it is definitely more commitment from us haha...
Thank God for nice family members and we just have to stretch our capacity.
There are some stuff that I would like to buy soon... not sure if my budget would allow...

: 1) 1 Crumpler haversack esp for laptop
: 2) a pair of spec (or sunglasses)
: 3) a pair of Nike sneakers that I saw before

After serving on saturday and rushing for dear's reunion dinner, we saw this double rainbow over the road on CTE. It's definitely one the nicest and huge rainbow that I have seen. I just sensed in my heart the covenant that God made with Noah regarding His protection on mankind. God is good :)

Technically i m less than 2 months away from the big day!
& we have booked the tickets to our honeymoon trip!
It's the first time i m flying to somewhere so far so please help me to pray for safety and protection! :)
we are going to alight at rome first and fly back from paris.
i guess the details will be sort out after my wedding dinner...

School did well for Os and we managed to get half day off for the entire school!
Had a dept lunch treat by Mr Loh and went for the third gown fitting last Friday.
Didn't regret to choose to do MTM with Casey (since it's a free top up! :) for my WG and EG @ Digio.
Initially was a little hesistant because of all the stories heard about MTM but I have a bit of difficulty for Digio's EG
I hope not many people looked at my blog but I can't help but post this pic up!
Totally heart my WG and EG especially and also really like my tea dress!

The first week of January is soon coming to an end!
Attended brother's POP, RJ and Shan's wedding yesterday and dear's sec sch classmate's wedding dinner.
It was a very packed day -.-
but tks to Dear's driving me around and makes the whole thing much easier for me.

Even though it was only a 4 day week but there were just so many things to settle down for me.
Probably it's due to the fact that i did nothing for the hols... argh!!! but it's so ironic to do something during the hols!
anyway... this coming week i am also anticipating for a lot of events...
There's Jie's wedding dinner on mon, meeting up with my sisters on tue... thursday food tasting and fri third fitting of the gown...

i Really need to settle my wedding invites soon!!!
and my actual day itinerary soon :x
it's hard to balance wedding + work as it draws nearer!!!

Today truly marks the end of my december holidays...
Sigh holidays are never enough
this year the holidays are marked by a record breaking number of social events
that inovlves birthday celebrations of my brother, several friends' wedding including dear's sis,
water baptism, housewarmings etc. In the midst of it we also completed our photoshoot with Oh Dear! and half of our videoshoot.

It had really been a tiring but fruitful december haha
and i sort of foresee that up till my wedding date the stress will start to build up. haha
finally dear and i decided to stick with Italy and France for our honeymoon locations.
haven book the airtickets yet. please pray for journey mercy and good weather for us! :)

I think it is only good that I conclude 2011 on this first day of the new year.
2011 has been a year of challenges of wedding preparation and certain matters.
and I think that it has been a memorable time for dear and I through the process of the preparation.
New year resolution - to have more personal time for reflection for myself, God and dear! :)
Other resolutions will be left to myself :)

It's been quite some time since I last blogged.
Even though it's the holidays but there are truly a number of things to be done.
It's rather incredible.
Christmas has passed and we are also on our ways to celebrate the New Year and lo and behold will the start of my work again ~
Time flies very quickly (for holidays at least)
Attended and have done too many events to be told in a chronological order (cos I can't rem as well lol)
Therefore i will show snippets of whatever I can capture on my beloved i phone 4S. :)

Feeling super shagged at this point of time now...
two weeks of holidays have passed and have completed many things within these 2 weeks..

finally tried the salted caramel cupcake from twelve cupcake but felt that it was just ok haha

tried the KL hokkien mee from a stall at gelyang. not too bad but it's nothing much of a crave as well hee

went for a chill out @ Prive in the night. The profiteroles are really nice but too many there's only two per serving. rather ex lol

drove up to Malaysia for some food ~

cheap and nice food! i think for only about $50 Sing and the butter crayfish is good!

You know i ever wonder before and actually still wonders if there's anyone who really really loves you despite every single bit of your flaws. I know it's a selfish thought cos is it reasonable for the other party to endure all the nonsense? It's just a thought that puzzles me from young.

Last week was a mad rush for macarons because we promise william and sienglian that we will churn it out for them as table favors. i kinda regret (tho i was the not one who did most of the work haha) cos it's really HARD WORK with all the capitals yeah.

Holidays have started! The best thing is that I get to rest and wake up late hee hee

before the holiday started I went for the SPA course on chem at none other than my ex sch campus.
Though it's only a short 2 years of my JC life and I did experience turbulent relationships
yet it's also a place that holds fold memories during my growing up years :)
could never forget the amount of hard work that i placed in for my As
i think i have never and will never study as hard as I did in SAJC haha. I am proud to be a saint. Once a saint, always a saint =)

The place in front of the green is the place that i used to gather for assembly.
Assembly is done by the councillor at the balcony on second floor. I remembered I used to queue specifically at the back just to watch the president of the student council sing national anthem :)
and of course the beloved gallery where we do our orientation and gather for PE lessons
at the second year the Principal even place the wordings Every Saint A Servant Leader on top of it.

The canteen. It's quite plain now but the pillars used to be painted by each class and it's really pretty and nice :)

Last Friday was the official last day of the school
(tho i still have course this week and open house to attend -.-)
so I decided to do some housekeeping for my workdesk.
It's extremely messy with super lots of worksheets and what not...
so the work begins... and mind you i hate housekeeping but like what i place on my fb
the best way to do housekeeping is to simply throw the things away haha (i only hope i never throw away what's needed)

Today is the start of my unofficial holidays.
and it's just nice that my bro got a day off
and so the family went for a nice breakfast together :)

In the afternoon, I went over to millenia walk in search of my wedding shoes regardless of for actual day or photoshoot...
and it's so hard to find a suitable one -.-
walked to city link and robinsons at Raffles City and also can't find
so i went to the starbucks in an attempt to conceptualize the photoshoot
and I am glad I did cos i finally got an idea that is manageable and should be fun if executed well :)
met up with Huijun for dinner @ Ding Tai Feng.

After the nice and full dinner we decided to walk around since it's still early.
and we went into JWest with many interesting shoes.
and finally managed to find a pair that i really like :)
Doesn't come with the usual blings which is something I try to avoid because it's a little common
also looking for something that is easy to match and could be used for casual wear after the wedding. :)
It's comfortable to wear as well :) (hope i can say the same if i wear it for a long time :) )

Last week was a busy but really fruitful week in my opinion :)

Dear's grandma was admitted into hospital for a minor operation.
I was glad that we have the chance to be able to visit her and chat with her personally.
She's a lady so full of faith and praises for God, it's really a joy to be around with her :)
it's always nice to be able to spend time with our family members :)

We also meet up with our videographer to discuss the pre wedding video in our package.
as we discussed i realized that there are indeed a lot of things to be done for the video itself...
excited but yet at the same time felt lazy too haha... this means that my dec holidays is going to be real busy in preparing for a lot of shoot... Not to forget we also have the photoshoot with oh dear :x
Am I too ambitious?

On Sunday we went to a tea party for the exchange of macarons with other participants of the workshops! :)

All the macarons are packed nicely into the beautiful boxes provided by Joycelyn :)

It was really refreshing to attend in such a chapel and the whole choir actually sang for the couple in hokkien!

One day i posted a rather disappointing status on fb and my RO send an encouraging sms in the morning and not only that, she even bought a hearty breakfast for me! loves*** :)

so happy with my current i phone 4s! it's really not bad and best of all is that i can say bye to my faulty 3GS! 2 mths plus without the backlight! dear bought a white one 32g and exchanged with my 16g black one haha

rather upset today. seriously the whole cause was not even really my fault.

tho i was upset but i know that it's a time to just let God deal with it.

not to say that i just want to be self-centered but i m just not sure if i just want to be a conformist in this ministry, in this world. or to have the courage to be the radical that i yearn for?

Last Saturday was bro's first bookout day.
happy to see him after 2 wks of him in the NS camp.
went over to old airport road for breakfast
and even bought 12 cupcakes (the name of the shop not literally 12 cupcakes) back home.
thereafter on our way to fetch mummy we decided to head down to prive @ keppel bay since it's a good chillout place and near to her workplace.

the scenery over there. the ambience is really nice and the fact that it does not have a huge flow of people makes the serenity even better :)

my iced cappucino and dear's latte (antoinette's coffee is still better)

fish and chips. a little ex but not too bad

therapeutic to the soul :)

it's Sun night again... off to another working week...
this will be the last wk of teaching before the EOY starts and before my form class is gone for good... haha
on hmm I think Thursday? dear dear drove me to recee a potential location for our photoshoot.
This place is not exactly too well know with many Singaporeans i think
but i really like the rustic, cottagey feel of the place
not to mention the multi colours of the houses
and the ocassional appearance of the horses. :)

wouldn't it be nice to just sit outside these houses and look at the sky and the greenery for a day? :)

Last Saturday dear and i went out to town to catch the smurfs at lido!

Before that we decided to take away some stuff to have before the start of the movie...
buns from imperial jade and of course u know where the drink is from ha

On monday night we proceeded to have dinner with my mom and brother at house of seafood at yio chu kang road!
the seafood there is really good! especially the crab! :) :) :)
This is to celebrate his new phase of life - NS!!!

On Tuesday went back to school to settle a few stuff and wanted to get some cupcakes at 12 cupcakes from United Square but it was closed... -.-''' Our first visit and it was closed... nevertheless we went back the second day and bought 6 flavours. two of which - the rums and raisins and baileys are their today's special only.

wanted to try their oreos but it was all sold out...
the red velvet (the one with the red heart) is really nice!
will go back again some day!

On Wednesday we finally settled our solemnization venue! The Burkill Hall!!! and our catering - Mum's Kitchen!
Although that also means our pocket is burnt again!

After settling the matters we went to paradise dynasty at ion level 4

nice fried rice! :)

Loves the la mien too... better than crystal jade and maybe even slightly better than ding tai fung...

Fried chicken... din eat a lot of these... not too bad but it's too fried and oily to be taken in much...

One more day to the end of this holiday...
hee actually i have been slacking long enough... hardly did any work this holiday...
come to think about it this time round i have almost 2 weeks of holidays...

On Monday after a nice meal with mummy at the coffeeshop
dear came over and we went down to tanjong pagar to run an errand...
although we did not manage to run the errand
we came across this restaurant that sells affordable wonton noodles set meal at this CBD area

The drinks of our set meal... the service was really good... Dear didn't quite like his drink and the person actually changed a new drink for him!

Overall the food tastes good, price is rather cheap in this area and it's nice to eat in an empty restaurant. :)
would go back there if there's a chance :)

Time in Singapore always passes by very fast.
That's the main reason why I always like to spend my holidays overseas.
So I can literally feel the time spent and not felt like it just zooms past.
anyhow... my 1 wk hol has started!!!
man wish time will slow down a little during the holidays... for me to enjoy more haha

anyway got to backdate my previous adventure....
On last tuesday dear and i celebrated our 2nd anniversary!
haha because we have went to so many places and have done so many things together
we really weren't quite excited and sure of how to celebrate it.

Dear bought me my fav sunflowers :)

since my i phone 3gs is really very ko yak, i have been taking photos with my i pad instead haha....
the funny things i did in his car...

We have decided to visit this quaint, French style restaurant located at the penhas road near lavender mrt called Antionette.

and because we are thinking of macarons for sale all the more we should taste the nice dessert offered here!
each one for 2.80! can u imagine??

well this is the third day of my hol. am left with 2.
shldn't complain cause i think we are quite blessed to have 5 days consecutively, including weekend.

Today dear and i finally have the chance to join our cg together for svc haha
went to bap noodles @ millenia walk to have a meal but alas the fish that i ordered was not cooked at all.
at least the svc was rather good so i just let it go. hopefully no food poisoning.

thereafter huijun, joyce and daniel and us went over to the cathay to get some mooncake.
since dear and i have not gotten any for our family yet, we bought 2 boxes each to our moms haha.

then we went over to the botanical gardens to evaluate possible photoshoot locations and just to chill out.
it turned out to be an interesting experience.

finally after waited for so long... my break is here!
because the school is a polling station therefore friday am a holiday for me too! =D
went to watch cars 2 with Dear on thursday...

ok i know that's a car 1 poster but still it's cars... haha
it was all right... not as touched as when i watched toy story 3 earlier in which i teared towards the end...

On Friday, xiu and i went to raffles place to chill out and do our work... it was a very impromptu meet up but am glad that we were able to... bought the nice yong tau foo at raffles place and we proceeded to the starbucks at one fullerton and just sat near the bay, enjoying the good weather and the nice food...

didn't take any pics but it was nice to chat and do our work there...
have been pondering for a very long time... should I pay a big sum of money for the use of my dream car below...
wedding car will be $900 and photoshoot is for $320...
it's my desire to do that but... the cost is a deterring force...

& also our first HDB appointment on 16th Sept! :) so happy to be finally choosing our unit! :)

Went to Marina Barrage this morning with my class
i love my class but it was a bit boring because they didn't bring anything to play over there!
after that went for a lunch and a small chat with my practicum colleagues... nice chat ~

and now with a starbucks at hand trying to complete my bio paper 1 by today...
but mightily distracted by hmm other websites haha
also have been reading too many wedding blogs and looked at too many wedding photos
so much so i had a nightmare in the afternoon about the make up artist refusing to put on makeup for me just before my ROM!

this is the first moment ever since weekend starts that i got to rest and relax
and it's already sunday hee.
Went for an overnight camp with the sec 2s at underwater world.
with guided tour at night and we got to stay in the travellator area with the oceanarium facing down at us.
the next morning we got to take a free photo and a touch session with the sea lion.
one good thing is that it a free trip for such an experience like this
but it is really very cold to sleep there in the night.
I literally covered myself from the head to toe haha
but it's still a cool experience :)
will upload the photos after i have gotten them from my colleague.

then it's off to serving for FOP @ Indoor.
HOG took over most of the matters and it was great. :)
and Trainers' duty on Sunday.
i must say it's been ages since i last did a trainer duty.
but it was nice to be talking to our new ushers :)

was supposed to hand in my exam paper tom for vetting
but only managed to do a few questions so far...
also with tonnes of marking waiting for me
got to 'pia' through my national day holidays...
but after going through TLLM and Green @ Hillgrove things are definitely more relaxed now...
and it's time to clear the backlog of my work...

Tom's half day or rather less than half a day haha
was thinking if i should head down to one fullerton to do my work...
or come back home since there's no transport...

yesterday we went down to digio to meet our consultant.
my package was actually with Rico a mona
but my coordinator is with Digio
so we made a trip to digio first...
initially i thought we were just going to be there to finalize on who's going to be our photographer, make up artist and designer and that we are going to be choosing between digio or rico...
however carine showed us more of digio and doesn't seemed to have much intention to bring us to rico. initially i was more inclined to use rico cause the venue looks a bit more classy haha but i find the service of Carine and the designer Casey to be rather good and gives good advice.

i liked the gown that they proposed and it's now waiting to see 2 months later how does the gown turned out to be like :)

am pleased with my actual day bridal studio so far and of our package.

And btw!!! we got our 5 room flat at Segar Palmview!!!

No. 187 out of 213 units so far... we are jus hoping to get a mid floor unit :)

this is the view from the new CC just down my block. I like peaceful moments like this. Sometimes the nice scenery is actually just around us.

went to Henderson waves with dear at the night and I must say I really enjoy the view up there. It was cooling and not so many people and I love seeing the stars. :)

moments like those are really therapeutic to the soul and brings along a sense of peace :)

There's just something about sat that makes it feel different from the rest of the days.
Today is the 6th day of my endurance for this ultra busy week.
TLLM on Monday to Wednesday. Thursday to Saturday for Green @ Hillgrove. Sunday's going to be hall duty.
Never felt so stretched by work. Enduring each day. Pray that tomorrow's hall duty is going to be smooth.

Lesson observation and study were completed on Monday and Wednesday.
Felt that there were improvement to be done but thank God feedback was rather good :) thank God.
Today we just finished the concert Green @ Hillgrove thank God the programmes run rather smoothly as well.
Tomorrow's my last hurdle. Pray that things will be good.

Holidays please come quickly!

Next thursday will be meeting the coordinator from Rico and Di gio.
Mid Aug to macaroon workshop.
will try hard to settle the album layout by this month. [which is another huge project because of the idea that we want]
and also hopefully of our catering for the holy matrimony :)

Today was a day that I have been looking forward since the start of the week.
and happy days always go a bit faster... haha
yesterday after a helpout with the opening of Artscapade i went back home to rest after an eventful work week
decided to give myself no work (tho i have no idea how i m going in those work)

and today was a day of fun outing for me :)
we went down to see the videographer and make a deposit for actual day photography and pre wedding video with Fifty frames.
one more thing checked. :)
After which we meet up with seng and winnie for a movie that i have been waiting for - Harry Potter!
It was everything I expected since I watched part one in Nov.
I was a bit sad over the loss of some of the characters and also nostalgic at the last part of Harry and the rest growing up and sending their kids off to Hogwarts in the same manner of how they used to go when they were kids themselves.
it's been a 10 years journey with Harry Potter and i missed the restrictive days of youth but yet at the same time full of possibilities. I missed the people who have taken care of and loved me when I was young but are no longer with me now.

I pray one day that there will be no more separation and that we can all be reunited with God. :)

After that we went to redeem our deal package. Desparadoes and Cineblast and Hard Rock Starz Restaurant Buffet

The desparadoes and cineblast were disappointing. Not in the least exciting and fun.
However the buffet was really great! both in terms of variety and quality for me :) thumbs up!
Today was a good day of fun and I looked forward for more outings
but hopefully we can sleep in the next day not having to go work or report early haha

Dear and I have also signed up for a divine macaroon workshop in Aug also looking forward :)
We are also making appointments with our bridal studio for our actual day and outdoor wedding preparations

this long wkend passes by rather fast.

On Friday we went down to search for a car that i spotted when we were going to town.
although it's not exactly the real thing but it's cute enough for me (the only question is should i spend that money?)
before we spend a nice simple evening for dinner @ Bugis haha

On Saturday we went down to meet the videographer.
We were late for an hour despite setting off early as there was a massive jam @ PIE.
He was real nice about it and gave us a Very good price for his service. about a saving of $1300 and more for us.
We were quite assured that we would be in good hands. Tk God :)
and it's off to watch Transformers! :)
I always enjoy watching Transformers and it goes the same for this too. wonder if there will be a 4th one.
and it's to The Pines for clark's cousin wedding.
First time attending a wedding there. and the couple is even younger than us!
He has a lovely maternal family haha

On Sunday was a long day of serving till now.
Tk God for the friends who stayed back with us. Truly appreciate!!!

seriously sometimes i hope there are no readers to this blog or just those whom i know which is just one or two.
i really like the privacy.
There are a few thoughts that have been lingering on my mind from time to time...
and I don't know how to make sense of it... except praying over it...

recently something that i used to love has become a drag for me...
i dun know y... but prob it's something that has been around for some time...
sometimes i just felt so tired physically... there's always work to be completed over the wkend for me and it's usually rather long hours of doing that... a lot of responsibility on the work and if something is done wrongly... it always seems like the end of the world... people whom i used to enjoy being with or grow up with suddenly became a bit unfamiliar to me...
as the hall gets bigger so is the void in my heart.

i don't know how long i can do this... totally lost for words...

just came back from my 8 days trip from Taiwan!
it's like my fourth time there but i am still loving it.
This time it's different with xiu, bao, shirley, jeff and of course photoshoot with my beloved dear!

I am a rather lazy bride honestly. but i have enjoyed reading and benefitted from other brides on what they wrote on their blogs.
So I think that I will try to write out a comprehensive entry on my photoshoot in Taiwan!

Honestly prior to my photoshoot I do not have much expectation and do not really know what to do.
I signed up with Bluebay at a wedding fair @ Suntec and thereafter I hardly communicate with or read the forum on what to do.
Sometimes I do regret for not finding out more prior but overall dear and I still have a rather pleasant trip with them. :)

When we reached the shop on the first day for our gown selection, we were asked to choose our preferred route first and honestly I have no idea which is a good route to take. We only know we wanted the pictures to look like UP to fit into our wedding theme. I think Bluebay is more experience with the scenic route and they probably have no idea what we really want when I said that I wanted some wacky and casual and cute shoots.

These are the gowns that i have picked.

Looks like a lot of work but it only took like 10 minutes? for dear to finish his make up.

well I took like 2 hrs with hair styling included...

Dear took a pic of me at our last photoshoot location which was at a beach in Danshui...

We ended the photoshoot and reached bluebay at approximately 8 plus...
exhausting because ours was an all outdoor shooting... should have chose some indoor shots -.-
2 days later we went down to choose some of the raw photos
and i particularly like our casual shots :) probably because it is more like me
and also the one near the beach... top up another 20 photos which work out to be another $1200 more -.-
we have an idea for our album layout and we are hoping that we can pull it off well :)

Okok I know I should be trying to finish my minutes.
After the course @ Southview today, I had a lovely lunch with my colleagues
Honestly I am grateful for these friends in school. They made my education service much more fun and tolerable :)
And when I reached back home, i simply slept through for about 3 hrs despite the hot weather!

So now I m trying to slowly finish up my minutes because i simply do not want to continue to do any work for week 2 n 3!

On Saturday Dear and I ventured all the way to Chong Pang Nasi Lemak at Yishun!

As I walked home today, I had a form of quiet peace in my heart.
I think it's a very good thing to be alive.
I was grateful just by looking at the things around me
and felt a sense of joy when I felt the breeze.

i mean it's normal that both teachers and students will not have the heart to teach and study anymore?

sat was my duty again
and some stuff happened
and unexpectedly i have a hysterical outburst of anger which i have not had it since probably pri or lower sec days.
prob it's due to a build of tension and tiredness.
tried explain but reason not accepted.
and in the end i felt accused which i hate the most.
case closed and i can only hope for more self control.

sometimes i felt that my life is really going at too fast a pace at the moment
but there seems to be nothing much that i can do.
work for one matter and ministry for another and even social obligations.
everything seems so important.
my days seemed to be filled with all these and it's a matter of one event replacing another.

I like today. with nothing to do.

Yesterday was my first real svc as a congregation.
it was great to see some of my sat counterparts too
and as i was talking to one, i saw one of my fren who used to be close to me. or supposedly close.
in the past i would be very mindful of his opinions and views.
i would try hard to please him only to face disapproval and disappointments.
somehow or rather i always do things that anger him.
but yest as i saw him i realized that i no longer mind his presence, his opinions and views.
instead i feel a new surge of freedom and happiness.
and i know it sounds bad but i felt superior and elated at the fact that i m no longer at his mercy.
and to all you owe no one a living. therefore never allow someone to make you feel bad. :)

i kinda like the state of my blog right now.

whatever the case is, it's been settled and I pray that God will be magnified in all things! :)
am about 50% done with my marking. this time round i m slightly more hardworking than EOY last year. i really hope that i can finalize everything by the end of this Friday. Things are looking good and i hope i can achieve it.
i hope for a good break soon... but even though it's the MYE now... there are still many things to be done before the june holidays kick in...

attended dear's cousin's wedding last sun @ fullerton.
First time in fullerton and i must say it's quite a nice wedding. it basically has almost all the elements that i would like to see in mine. and you know what this means??? - it means that i must change some of my ideas!!!
argh needa to have the motivation to get back into planning once again...

it's good to have three days for a weekend! :)
reason being is that usually we will be serving for the wkend for at least one full day
and we usually don't 'recuperate' enough from the 5 days week before we start another 5 days week.

on saturday dear and i went over to paragon to settle some health check matters
and dear's friend who works at paragon was kind enough to give us special discount in the Big O's cafe!
Thumbs up for the food :)

Thereafter we decided to go over to the Boardwalk and visited the Underwater world and Dolphin lagoon!
The ticket is rather ex but dear was sporting enough to go with me!
The boardwalk was nothing fantastic and it's probably due to the hot weather. i think it will be a nice place to come to in the night time to chill out with friends.
it's been so long since i last visited the Underwater world and i must say i m a little disappointed that it's quite small scale now and not to mention my not so nice experience with our neighbours. the good thing is that they have shifted the dolphin lagoon to be nearer to the main underwater world.
they opened up the area an hour before the show has started and i was glad that the dolphins were not kept back but instead swimming around in the pool and it's such a joy to see them.

i m so going into australia!!! to see the open sky full of stars and the dolphins swimming in the lagoons! :) :) :)

thereafter we had a nice dinner with seng and winnie over holland v crystal jade steamboat. :)

In a short span of just 2 years, this is my second time facing such a situation.
When I was faced with this from papa, I was awfully devastated.
I rejected support from people in actual fact and I really hate visitors tho I didn't quite show it.
I hated the fact that I have to keep repeating to them and each repetition of the status left me being even more sad.

Just two weeks ago, I received news that my aunt was down.
and my heart really break.
And the events that followed after was that her condition spiralled down
it's sad to see that she is similar to what papa went through then.

I am scared and I learned and try to live day by day.
Living itself requires courage and I pray for God to be with her always
I know i will miss her greatly.

Ever since Suntec started, weekend are tougher than weekdays
and it is more so for some of my fellow ushers.
do hope that we can settle down as soon as possible

work has been busy and there are days in which it is non-stop action since i reached sch @ 7am and only realized that it's 5pm later. Fri and sat was also busy with assignments and visitation. Not that we mind... but it's just that i do really hope to be able to rest @ home on a full day... just resting and not busying preparing to go out or do something...

how i do wish we have a home to ourselves and we will wake up late in the morning... enjoy morning walks or even go downstairs to buy breakfast from the market, cook at home, read books at home and invite our friends over for a gaming session with our collection of board games :)

in the meantime... God pls give me the strength!

was actually very troubled over the fact that should i wear contact lenses or do lasik for my eyes for my wedding day.
very troubled is an understatement. super frustrated and confused is more like it.
probably there is no bride like me many would think it's rather easy to simply wear contact or do lasik.
but the discomfort of doing all these remains and i honestly don't mind wearing glasses for the rest of my life...

therefore i posted on fb and my friend sent me an inspiring link
and i really like what one of the bride says.

" I’m having the same predicament..... All I know is that I want to see my fiance when I walk down the aisle, and I’m sure he wants to see the same girl he’s known for the last five years… not some girl without glasses, stumbling into a pew."

The statement that touches me was I'm sure he wants to see the same girl he's known for the last five years. i've been wearing glasses for practically as long as i can remember. it's part of who i am and i dun even really notice their existence at times.

They were with me when i knew clark. They were with me when we got together. They were with me when he proposed and I decided to be with him for the rest of life. They were with me when I was doing all the planning. They are probably as close to me as a body part would be. and most imptly this is the face that clark has faces all the time.

I think I've made my mind more or less. I will want to live a life without fear and def should my glasses should not be the factor that dictates my happiness on the wedding day. It should accompany me to celebrate with us :)

3 days of course in the first week and 2 days of course for the second week... how to complete the syllabus before the mid year...
k enough of whining...
now i m at home trying to finish stuff for next week so that i can serve full day on sunday w/o worries...
like what i always tell my students... the keyword here is Trying....

last Sunday dear and I went to the bridal show by Grand Copthorne and finally paid our deposit for the place!
we also selected our actual day gown n photography with Rico-a-mona as they were having a bridal show there.
Initially I have selected on My Bridal Room... but the package was just too irresistable.
Pray that everything goes smoothly! :)

and yet we do wish that it will be a nice wedding for us and our loved ones :)

Another little step completed in a whole list of to do things for wedding prepration

have more or less confirmed on Grand Copthorne Waterfront and made a tentative booking on 12th march 2012 :)
shall sign the contract on the bridal show on 20th march. :)
the journey to find a banquet venue was a long process

we started off with a wide variety of choices for the banquet and solemnization area
Goodwood, Legends, Pan Pacific, Raffles Marina, Mandarin Oriental, Conrad etc
went down for viewing and calling up various hotels for quotations etc

Great the next time that i continue this blog entry is actually evening time on Saturday.

Goodwood's cocktail reception area was rather small
Pan Pac's ballroom does not suit our taste and what's more dear had a not so nice encounter with their staff.
Raffles Marina was a little far for our banquet location.
Conrad, Mandarin Oriental was a tad ex

hence we came to Grand Copthorne on one fine day as it was near to the Teacher's Network in which i was having course in.
although it was rather last minute, one of the senior staff managed to find time to come down and bring us for a viewing.
I was initially not very attracted by the fact that their neighbouring ball rooms could potentially have other events next to the Grand Ballroom etc (which I am still praying that they would not have)
However after multiple visits, considerations of their attractive package, the nice ballroom and good reviews, we decided to sign up with Grand Copthorne and have our banquet on the 12th of march 2012. :)

praying for greater favour and protection along the way! :)

Wanted to post photos about my Desaru trip but doesn't know why it can't be done
had an outing with a few of my good friends to Desaru
let me try to recount the details of the trip.

Early in the morning (thank God that i can still wake up at 8 and not some unearthly hours!)
met up with dear, sol and shuyun at woodlands mrt
and lo and behold the van that was supposed to fetch us at 9:30 am was stuck at the ICA for inspection
therefore we fellowship @ the starbucks till the van arrives an hour later haha

At 10:30 am the van finally arrived and the 11 of us made our way through the checkpoint excitedly.
Traffic was good and it didn't take us too long to clear and an hour later
we are at a hawker centre and we ordered ban mian and penang gui tiao which was really nice and cheap

Since our check in to the resort can only be after 3pm, we decided to go down to a fruit farm for a farm tour first
took quite a bit of photos and has some interesting experiences there
learned more about the measures the 'farmers' took to do the large crop harvesting, had an exciting time feeding their koi fishes and as well as visiting their 'mini' zoo
brought back some honey for mom to taste
and finally we are on our way to the resort!

the resort is rather decent with the amount of money we paid for.
Relatively clean and service was rather ok.
with free breakfast etc it's rather quite worth the money.

rested a while in our rooms and too bad our room doesn't really have the sea view unlike jen's one!
@ 6 pm we are on our way for dinner! yeah!
the dinner was on one side of the mangrove
and we have good view of the river
food was rather ok and came in abundance
but the highlight of the night or rather the whole trip is truly the firefly tour!

o man... this is the first time that i see so many fire flies up front
and the exciting thing is that dear even caught one!!!
haha it was so exciting to see one so up close.

and the most unexpected experience was when i looked up i saw so many stars in the night sky for the first time
and i was just so amazed at the sight that i saw
and i felt so in awe of God's creation once again :)

We went back and played citadels and had lots of fun.

While some of them wanted to catch the sunrise, dear and i decided to give it a miss
because we wanted to sleep in more!!!
i dun want to wake up at a timing even earlier than school!!! haha
and i was glad because the sky was too foggy for a good sunrise

After a hearty breakfast in the hotel, we check out and went for a short shopping trip at Justco
and a nice dinner @ Taman Sentosa

Reached back home earlier than 8 pm.

argh... this week has been a stressful week as i have shared with a few of my friends
i have 2 days worth of course for 3 consecutive weeks and thereafter it will be the common test for them.
-.- talk about stress in completing the syllabus for the test + an upcoming lesson observation next week
i highly doubt i will be able to complete everything...

this is also the first time i felt the commitment of committee work as well as CCA work
and i haven't even really done a lot yet
argh...

This coming weekend i will be going on a desaru trip with some of my good friends
i hope i can truly r & r with dear and my friends there...
pray for journey mercy!

now it's 10:07 pm and i have done some work in between
and this post has been interrupt till now.

honestly i dun felt doing any work today
but it's not much of a choice...
i dread to think of next week in which i will have

not to mention the many other admins and lesson preparation n lesson observation...

ok enough of whining... one thing at a time...
shall try to do whatever i can one thing at a time...
trying to do whatever tiny little amount of work i can before dear fetch me off
to see more hotels and a little visitation

because of the amount of courses, work and field trips that i m having...
argh... next week i will be having quite a fair bit of training, staff contact time and courses as well... argh....

altho i do hope that we can confirm more stuff by this month.

i have decided tho not yet paid for to go for my Actual Day Gown package and photography with my Bridal Room
because so far i like their gowns the most...
tho it will be a bit on the steep side...
hoping to book either grand corpthon or swissotel merchant court by next week
and meeting one of my fren for a consultation for getting a resale flat...

Weekend passes very fast and it's the start of the week again!
haha and also i ended my first day of work
so 4 more days of working life before i meet my beloved weekend again
it's really like this again and again... my life is pretty much of a routine. haha
I am glad of the growth in teaching... at least I dun drag my feet going into the classroom
or dread the possibility of meeting my students
but instead enjoyed much of the lessons nowadays.

made a major decision to withdraw from my masters program
although i din do that with all willingness but it's a rare choice that i dun regret
because i felt that i really need the personal time and space to do my own stuff
if not i will be quite stressed up

i m looking around for bridal studios for my actual day gowns
updates: have confirmed my air tickets to taipei in june, will be flying after wanyun's wedding!
13th to 20th june! pls pray for me, dear, xiu and bao! :)

am also looking for potential venues
so far raffles marina looks good too :)
it has the concept that i m looking for
shall be visiting them soon...

next up we need to look for a home too.. bto is really quite hard to get
we should have just balloted for it the moment we start our relationship lol
that shows u how effective hdb is in providing new homes for young couples
and they are still encouraging to start a family :x

dear and i went to the suntec bridal fair
and we decided on signing up with blue bay bridal studion from taiwan
dun know if we are too rush
but i m glad when i google for it the reviews are pretty good and favourable
hence we are praying for an enjoyable experience and weather when we go over to taiwan for photoshoot in June! :)

it's mid week but still got 2 more days to go through before the wkend comes back to me again... haha
anyway i was wondering if there's a need to create another blog just for our own wedding preparations but then i realize it means the need to maintain another blog and it will probably be stagnant once the wedding is over so i shall just incorporate everything into this tiny blog of mine.

Dear and I have been actively searching for suitable venues to have our wedding
though I do wish that our date can be finalized soon...
things are a bit complicated now but i shall pray that we will have a nice date soon :)

Yesterday Dear and I went for our Timbre date (like finally! haha)
cos we have this Timbre date since before we start the relationship!
and it's only yest that we manage to go down!

Anyway we were discussing about the different venues and we decided to take a look at the White Rabbit for a possible place for solemnization or matrimony.

These are the pictures that people have taken at the White Rabbit... pretty right...
When we reached there it was already quite late in the night but the place still looks pretty to me... the only thing is it will be a bit small for matrimony only for max 150 pax and i also have a feeling that it will not be too cheap too hold there. Parking is also a big problem for our guests. they only have a few measly carpark lots...

anyway still in KIV stage...

As for dinner venue... we thought of Goodwood Park and a few others but currently we are more keen on Goodwood for some reasons... hence we shall find out more tom haha

we by passed a watch shop and instantly we were attracted to this pair of Fossil watch
it's a simple design and the price is reasonable for a couple watch
and hence we decided to buy it.

the past few days was busy with the staff meeting and seminar and of course the appreciation dinner :)

gotten my timetable for next year
and i m quite happy with it haha
and i will be taking one graduating class for N level next year

nus school is starting as well
most likely my mon and tue nights are going to be burned for lesson...
i hope dear has the same timetable as me
then we can date on other nights haha *pray hard

9 more days to year end!
wow it really seems like time is going faster and faster
it seems like yesterday only that i started 2010
and now i m approaching the end of 2010

I think it's a good time to recount how 2010 has been for me
There were a few important events that had occur for me.
: 1) My practicum period
- Gosh, it was really a stretching period for me, a lot of the days were stressful and not easy to manage for me.
The lesson plans and classroom management issue can be such a burden and tiring matter to me. but thank God i passed and passed the whole course with a merit. that's not too bad :)

: 2) The transition to become a working adult
After my practicum I officially became a teacher in june!
every weekend I would find myself working on my slides and teaching materials and i thot that being a teacher is tough haha
but then nov came and i had almost 2 mths worth of hol with bonus and pay and it changes my mindset significantly haha

: 3) The opportunity to work in the Jurong Bird Park
Though i complained and whined about the fact that i act had to sacrifice 10 days of my hols for this attachment
I think overall it was still a rare opportunity and i m glad that i had made some frens and was given the exposure to what an education executive is like in the working environment that i have always dream of doing.

: 4) Overseas trip to taiwan and bintan with dear
It was just the 2 of us and i was glad not just because we can spend quality time together but also the fact that i can avoid the trouble of finding a travelling partner (you cannot believe how hard it is to find one!).

Also i m glad that dear made such a good travelling partner haha and we really had a lot of fun during those trips.
Love you darling!

: 5) Moving on to another new cg
After 3 years of happy times with E448 i decided to move on to dear's adult cg hoping that the changed environment will be beneficial in the long run. I am glad that S23 accepted me quickly and that I have made good frens in there too :)

In the next year to come, i pray that it will be another good year and good health for my loved ones and me.

Things to look forward to
: 1) 5 different classes
menaing i got to prepare 5 different sets of materials and teachings

: 2) Teacher in charge for environmental club
argh honestly i dun really know what to do yet just hoped that everything will go well till melissa comes back from her maternity leave

: 3) My masters' program
i kinda think that i must be mad to sign up for this and the teachers work attachment. the only good thing is that dear and i can study together haha

thankful for all that God has done this year
and praying for all my loved ones and myself to be healthy next year!
